Girls spend over 6 hrs daily with the horses.
Wranglers
The Wrangler Program is an equestrian focused camp session for girls who love horses. It is for girls ages 12-15 and is offered as a two-week session.
The Wrangler program is offered for girls who want to step up from their traditional camp experience and enjoy two weeks focused on horses. The vision of the Wrangler program is to use the treasure of a girl and her horse as a tool to teach girls about themselves and their relationships with others.
Wrangler Life
Ten Wranglers will reside together in their own cabin with two Wrangler leaders. Wranglers will be assigned a horse for which they will be responsible during their stay. In addition to daily riding lessons, girls will learn to feed, saddle and care for their horse. Each girl will be able to choose to ride either English or Western style. The girls will ride both in the newly rennovated riding arena and on the trail--learning both safe riding as well as correct and effective techniques. They will be exposed to speakers and equestrian demonstrations like a vet and farrier as well as many other different parts of the horse industry. While girls in the Wranglers program will have varying activities from the traditional camp, they will sometimes join in with the traditional camp programs. No matter the riders' experience level, all girls can benefit from this camp, and leave with a great respect and love for horses!
